NuMentality Skillz Training

Cesurian “Cez” Champagne is the owner of NuMentality Skillz Training, LLC, in which the goal is to inspire young male and female basketball players to focus on their goals, be willing to change their mindset and “Train Like A C.H.A.M.P.” She has always known that her calling was to work with children, and this is why she established NuMentality Skillz Training. “I just want to see kids succeed and live out their dreams” The journey that she took to be successful as a player and now as a coach is her story and motivation to others.

Coach Champ played Division I basketball at East Tennessee State University and then transferred to Charleston Southern University.  She faced adversity during her freshman and junior year when she sustained season-ending injuries with a torn ACL. She took the experiences of studying & understanding the game while sitting on the sidelines during that time which later inspired her to become an educator and high school basketball coach.

Coach Champ spent 15 years coaching high school basketball [12 years as a girls’ basketball coach and 3 years with the boys]. During that time, she has learned so much as a coach, which inspired her to start her own training services with NuMentality Skillz Training. “I realized that there are so many kids that desire to play on college basketball but lacked the skill development and knowledge to prepare them to play on the next level. My desire is to educate not only my clients but their parents on the recruiting process,” says Coach Champ.

In 2020, Cez joined forces with her wife/co-owner, Dr. Jennifer Heyward-Champagne to provide quality services for student-athletes and provide the necessary exposure to help create an avenue to extend their playing careers.
